Position Summary
Evolvending is seeking a Part-Time Airport Operations Manager to oversee and perform the daily operations of our vending kiosks at an assigned airport location.
This is initially a hands-on management position. While our number of machines at the location is growing, the Part-Time Manager will personally perform many of the operational responsibilities required to keep the location running successfully, including stocking machines, managing inventory, receiving deliveries, maintaining product quality, cleaning kiosks, monitoring equipment, and resolving basic operational issues.
As Evolvending adds additional machines at the location and hires Operations Associates, this position will transition toward a more traditional management role, including scheduling, training, supervising, and directing the local operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to join a growing company early and develop into a larger operations leadership role.
Key ResponsibilitiesAirport Operations
- · Oversee the day-to-day operation of kiosks
- · Personally stock and refill machines based on sales, inventory levels, and established PAR levels
- · Ensure all kiosks remain clean, organized, operational, and customer-ready
- · Monitor machine inventory, equipment alerts, temperatures, and operational status
- · Perform regular checks of machines and airport storage areas
- · Communicate operational issues and updates to Evolvending management
Inventory & Product Management
- · Monitor inventory in machines and airport storage
- · Maintain established machine PAR levels
- · Create and follow product pull/thaw plans when applicable
- · Maintain FIFO (First-In, First-Out) product rotation
- · Receive, inspect, organize, and properly store deliveries
- · Place product and supply orders as required
- · Monitor expiration dates and minimize product waste
- · Review sales trends to identify fast- and slow-moving products
- · Adjust stocking quantities based on actual product demand
Machine Operations
- · Stock machines according to approved planograms
- · Confirm inventory is accurately recorded in company applications
- · Perform basic machine troubleshooting
- · Report technical problems that require additional support
- · Maintain machine cleanliness and perform required routine cleaning
Food Safety & Quality
- · Follow food safety, handling, storage, and temperature-control procedures
- · Verify products are within approved shelf-life and temperature requirements
- · Maintain clean and organized food storage and handling areas
- · Immediately address product quality or food safety concerns
Growing the Local Operations Team
As we expand the number of machines at the assigned airport location, the Part-Time Manager will take on additional leadership responsibilities, including:
- · Assist with hiring and onboarding Operations Associates
- · Train new team members on the operating procedures
- · Coordinate employee schedules and daily assignments
- · Verify associates complete required stocking, cleaning, inventory, and food safety tasks
- · Provide operational guidance and support to the local team
- · Help build an efficient operation capable of supporting additional machines and locations within the airport
Qualifications
- · Experience in food service, vending, retail operations, logistics, hospitality, or similar operations preferred
- · Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- · Strong organizational and communication skills
- · Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a location
- · Ability to use mobile apps, tablets, and web-based operational systems
- · Basic technical troubleshooting ability
- · Understanding of food safety and proper food handling practices
- · Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced airport environment
- · Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- · Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- · Ability to push carts and safely transport inventory
- · Ability to stand and walk throughout the airport for extended periods
- · Ability to stock, clean, and service vending equipment throughout a shift
