Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire clinic operation, including medical office management, staff supervision, and client relations.
- Manage financial aspects such as budgeting, fiscal management, and revenue cycle processes using Cornerstone & Weave.
- Supervise veterinary and administrative staff, ensuring effective team collaboration and high-quality medical administrative support.
- Ensure compliance with health regulation policies including HIPAA, JCAHO standards, and other applicable healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate medical records management, electronic health records (EHR), and ensure accurate documentation of patient information using systems like Dentrix or Epic.
- Oversee clinic scheduling, inventory control, and procurement to optimize workflow and resource utilization.
- Implement best practices in healthcare management, managing teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment focused on excellent patient care.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in a medical or veterinary office setting with strong leadership skills in managing teams as a healthcare practice manager.
- Extensive medical office experience with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Cornerstone.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare regulations including HIPAA and JCAHO standards.
- Background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial management, and utilization management within a clinical environment.
- Experience working within veterinary clinics or dental offices with acute care or hospital experience preferred.
- Familiarity with human resources functions related to staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex medical administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care.
