Estimator – Replacements & Retrofit

A well-established façade contractor is seeking a skilled Estimator to support competitive bidding across complex building envelope projects in the NYC market. This is a high-impact role suited to someone who understands the technical, commercial, and logistical demands of façade construction.
The Role
- Prepare detailed estimates from architectural and structural drawings
- Perform takeoffs for storefronts, curtain walls (unitized & stick), metal panels, and glazing systems
- Build accurate cost models covering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontract scopes
- Source and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Compile professional bid packages aligned with RFP requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to validate scope and ensure bid accuracy
- Identify value engineering opportunities and assess constructability
- Monitor market pricing and stay current with NYC codes and standards
What You Bring
- Strong window replacement and retrofit experience
- Strong knowledge of curtain wall, storefront, and panel systems
- Proven experience delivering bids for NYC-based projects
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications
- Understanding of union labor, installation sequencing, and procurement timelines
- Strong attention to detail and deadline-driven mindset
