We’re searching for an organized, driven, and detail-oriented professional to join our team. This is a key role within our company. You’ll juggle multiple home building projects, work with numbers daily, scheduling, communicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, our construction team, and be trusted with responsibilities that directly impact the success of every home we build. You’ll need to think ahead, stay organized, and care about the details.
Residential Field Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Manage all day-to-day field operations from groundbreaking through homeowner orientation.
- Oversee multiple custom home projects simultaneously.
- Ensure homes are built according to contract pricing, plans, specifications, engineering, and building codes.
- Maintain exceptional quality standards throughout every phase of construction.
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections.
- Conduct daily jobsite inspections to verify workmanship and progress.
- Proactively identify and resolve construction issues before they impact schedule or quality.
- Maintain project schedules and meet construction milestones.
- Ensure all materials are delivered accurately and on time.
- Verify jobsite readiness before each trade begins work.
- Perform quality control inspections prior to each construction phase.
- Keep jobsites clean, organized, and professionally maintained.
- Communicate regularly with homeowners throughout the construction process.
- Conduct homeowner walk-throughs and explain construction progress.
- Prepare and manage punch lists during construction and prior to closing.
- Ensure timely completion of warranty and service items.
- Review and approve subcontractor work before payment.
- Document jobsite progress with daily logs and photographs.
- Coordinate with the office regarding selections and change orders.
- Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies before work begins.
- Verify dimensions and layout prior to critical construction phases.
- Monitor labor productivity and subcontractor performance.
- Hold subcontractors accountable for quality, schedule, and cleanliness.
- Manage project budgets by minimizing rework and material waste.
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve construction quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
