Injection Mold Maintenance Technician
Job Description & Requirements
The Injection Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all molds and tooling components used in the Injection Department to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
· Perform regular inspections and maintain/repair molds as necessary to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance. Includes disassemble, clean, polish inspect, repair and reassemble molds
· Work alongside Maintenance Techs and Machine Operators and diagnose mold and/or tooling related issues and make necessary adjustments in real time to ensure acceptable mold performance and efficiency standards are met for each shift.
· Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues and implement corrective actions.
· Coordinate with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve all mold issues in the department. Improve mold performance and implement design modifications.
· Ensure proper set-up / and start-up of molds and ancillary equipment according to procedures and product specifications.
· Responsible for ordering parts necessary to complete all mold maintenance
· Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
· Maintain accurate records of all mold repairs, maintenance activities and improvements made
Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mold maintenance, tooling or similar role in plastics industry
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
· Strong mechanical aptitude
· Skilled use of machining equipment including mills, lathes and grinders.

Experience:
- Mold and tooling maintenance : 3 years (Preferred)
- Plastics injection molding: 5 years (Preferred)
- Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic or Electrical in Injection: 3 years (Preferred)
