Global Security & Investigative Services is hiring unarmed uniformed security for a Corporate Building in Waterbury. This is a Full-time position. The schedule is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30am to 8pm. Applicants must have a neat and clean appearance and a professional demeanor. Applicants must also possess a valid Security Officer's Identification Card. Weekly pay. Uniforms provided. Immediate start.
Core Responsibilities
Patrol & Observe: Conduct regular foot patrols of the interior and exterior of the property to identify hazards, unsecured doors, or unauthorized individuals.
Access Control: Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor credentials, issue guest passes, and prevent trespassing.
Monitor Systems: Oversee security cameras, alarm systems, and gates to maintain real-time awareness of the facility.
Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies. De-escalate conflicts and contact local law enforcement or emergency services when required.
Documentation: Write clear, accurate, and detailed incident reports and maintain daily activity logs.
Customer Service: Provide a welcoming, professional presence, offering assistance and directions to employees and guests.
Qualifications & Skills
Basic Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Licensing: Security guard license
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for report writing and interacting with the public.
Alertness: Strong observation and judgment skills to assess situations and make quick, sound decisions.
Professionalism: Ability to remain calm and composed under stressful or high-pressure situations.
Physical Requirements
Capacity to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
