Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering product demos, and assisting with product selection
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Assist with inventory management through stocking, product rotation, and stock replenishment
- Demonstrate strong communication skills by engaging customers professionally via phone etiquette and in person
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred, especially grocery store experience
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership opportunities
- Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly and accurately
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling and promoting store products
