We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Seasonal School Events Associates to join our team for the busy back-to-school season. In this hands-on, temporary role, you’ll be a key part of creating a positive experience for students and families during our school rental events.
This position involves preparing for events, interacting with customers, and providing on-site support at schools across Southern California, Yuma (AZ), and Salt Lake City (UT). If you're organized, enjoy working with people, and don’t mind a bit of travel, we’d love to hear from you!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Position is expected to run through September 10th
- Assist in preparing and organizing instruments and supplies for school rental events.
- Travel to and from events across Southern California, Yuma, AZ, and Salt Lake City, UT.
- Set up and work at school events, engaging with customers and helping them understand our rental program.
- Perform quality control checks on musical instruments before and after events.
- Process and track rentals after events conclude.
- Support the School Events Coordinator with executive assistant tasks as needed.
- Lift, move, and organize large instruments and supply deliveries.
- Represent Bertrand’s Music with professionalism, enthusiasm, and excellent customer service.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn and clearly explain our rental program to customers.
- Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Physically able to lift and move instruments and supplies.
- Detail-oriented and dependable with strong organizational skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude.
- Prior retail, customer service, or music experience is a plus, but not required.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service or events a plus.
- Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to stand and move for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting, and transporting of supplies required.
