Scottsdale Family Smiles is pleased to announce an exciting full-time opportunity in our dynamic team, as we are currently looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Dental Assistant. Our ideal candidate is someone who embodies professionalism, skill, and dedication to patient care, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for each individual we treat. We are a highly-trained office that treats our patients comprehensively be it through amazing general dentistry, cosmetics, reconstructions, implants as well as Invisalign.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist dentists and dental hygienists in clinical procedures and treatments to ensure efficient and safe dental services.

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure necessary equipment is ready for use.

Take and process dental X-rays as required while ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.

Perform office management tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining dental records, and managing inventory of supplies and materials.

Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by the dentist and educate patients on oral hygiene strategies.

Ensure optimal patient comfort before, during, and after dental procedures.

Engage with patients to provide information about dental procedures and discuss treatment plans.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment that complies with OSHA and other regulatory bodies' safety standards.

Assist in the management of dental emergencies efficiently and calmly.

Collaborate with the dental team to streamline office operations and enhance patient satisfaction.

Continuously update professional knowledge and participate in educational opportunities appropriate to the role.
Requirements:

Current Arizona x-ray certification with proficiency in taking diagnostic x-rays

Coronal polish certification or willingness to become certified

Demonstrated ability to follow directions and effectively communicate with colleagues and patients

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Reliable and dependable with the ability to adapt to a flexible schedule

Excellent interpersonal skills; must be outgoing and collaborate well in a team setting

Proficient in using dental office software, preferably Eaglesoft

Strong commitment to maintaining the highest levels of safety and hygiene in the workplace

Work hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 5:30 pm

Anticipated work hours are between 32 and 40 hours per week
