Duties
- Assist kitchen staff with food prep, plating, and basic cooking tasks to support efficient service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Support servers by bussing tables, refilling beverages, and delivering food orders promptly using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Process cash transactions accurately during sales, including upselling beverages, spirits, or desserts to enhance guest experience
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and restocking items as needed
- Ensure guest satisfaction by providing friendly guest services, addressing questions about menu items such as wine or cocktail options, and supporting guest relations
- Follow all food safety protocols and restaurant policies to uphold high standards of hygiene and food industry regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of beverage service, including spirits and wine knowledge, to assist with drink orders and upselling opportunities
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and guest-focused approach
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in sales transactions processing
- Basic math skills for handling bills, change, and inventory counts
- Commitment to food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
