Join our dynamic team as a Residential Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential HVAC systems to ensure optimal comfort and air quality for our clients. Your expertise will help improve indoor environments by working with a variety of mechanical systems, including heating units, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and building automation systems. Duties
- Install, service, and repair residential HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation units using schematics and HVAC design plans.
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical diagnostics to identify faults.
- Perform mechanical repairs on equipment such as compressors, pumps, fans, and refrigeration units.
- Maintain and troubleshoot plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and refrigeration components.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including filter replacements, system inspections, and cleaning to ensure efficient operation.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and building automation system controls for accurate troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly under EPA certification standards (EPA).
- Utilize welding skills when necessary for equipment repair or system modifications.
- Document all service activities thoroughly and communicate effectively with clients regarding system status and maintenance needs.
- Support property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar residential mechanical systems repair role.
- Construction experience is highly valued for understanding building codes and installation procedures.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R systems including refrigeration cycles, boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, and building automation controls.
- Experience working with schematics, wiring diagrams, HVAC design plans, and control systems.
- Ability to perform appliance repair and property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record (driver’s license required).
- Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional certifications in welding or boiler operation are advantageous.
- Mechanical or technical training in HVAC/R technology or related fields is preferred.

Pay: $16.00 - $40.00 per hour
