Bakery Training, Product Standards, and Team Development
We are seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Trainer for Bakery Cafes to support consistent product quality, bakery execution, and team development across our bakery operations. This role is ideal for an experienced bakery professional who can train others with patience, clarity, and confidence while reinforcing company standards for baked goods, presentation, food safety, and workflow.
About the Role
The Corporate Trainer will teach bakery team members how to produce, finish, display, and maintain baked goods according to company expectations. The trainer will work closely with store teams, district managers, and operations leadership to ensure employees understand proper procedures, follow recipes accurately, work efficiently, and maintain a strong eye for detail in both product quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
· Train bakery team members on company standards for baked goods, including preparation, finishing, packaging, labeling, display, and quality expectations.
· Demonstrate proper bakery techniques, safe equipment use, food handling, sanitation, allergen awareness, and efficient production flow.
· Coach employees on accuracy, consistency, speed, and attention to detail while maintaining a positive and supportive training environment.
· Support new store openings, retraining needs, seasonal product rollouts, and ongoing skill development for bakery teams.
· Observe bakery operations and provide clear, constructive feedback to improve execution and product consistency.
· Create or update training materials, checklists, job aids, and hands-on demonstrations as needed.
· Reinforce standards for product appearance, freshness, portioning, rotation, waste control, cleanliness, and customer readiness.
· Travel to assigned bakery, café, or store locations as needed to conduct training and follow-up support.
Qualifications
· Must be able to travel to all of our locations. N.VA, DC, MD and PA
· Exceptional skills with a pastry bag.
· Professional bakery, pastry, food production experience required.
· Previous experience training, mentoring, leading, or coaching bakery or food service employees preferred.
· Strong knowledge of baked goods, bakery workflow, product standards, food safety, and efficient production practices.
· Excellent attention to detail and the ability to recognize product quality, consistency, and visual presentation issues.
· Ability to work efficiently, stay organized, and manage multiple training priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Clear communication skills with the ability to teach hands-on skills to employees with different experience levels.
· Reliable, professional, patient, and comfortable giving feedback in a constructive manner.
· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift bakery ingredients, supplies, or equipment as required.

Schedule and Travel
This position requires early mornings, occasional holidays and weekends, travel between company locations depending on training needs, product rollouts, and operational support schedules.
