Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA is accepting applications for an On-Call Event Technician I.
Position Title: Event Technician I (On-Call)
Job Classification: Non-exempt
Department: Audio Visual
Reports To: Assistant Principal, Campus Life
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Pay Range: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
Essential Functions:
- Setup/operate/troubleshoot/strike audio visual equipment, including microphones, speakers, video projectors, screens, and related equipment for on and off campus school events, as directed.
- Provide detailed reports of work performed.
- Provide superior customer service/technical assistance to employees, students and outside groups in the use of equipment and system; inspect and test equipment to determine proper working order.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Required: BA/BS degree preferred; working knowledge of event production for variety of activities/events in a fast-paced, professional setting/school campus; at least two (2) years of operations/logistics/management experience or similar; understanding of calendaring; ability to prioritize work load; technical experience including computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, OneNote, Teams, To Do, Planner, Power Automate, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Publisher),audio/video/lighting/special effects/staging; proven time management, superior organizational, communication and troubleshooting skills; high level of attention to detail; demonstrated ability to read/design floor plans; financial aptitude (processing/handling/accounting of proposals, contracts, Purchase Orders, etc.).
Desired: 5 years of production/staging/Audio/Visual/video/special effects and operations/logistics/office management experience or similar in fast-paced, professional environment. Familiarity with high school campus operations is a plus. Demonstrated experience/knowledge of Show Flows/Run Downs, Daktronics Content Studio/Show Control and Venus Suite software, Ross Carbonite, 3Play, Grand MA, Extron, Dante, and Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, Lodestar is required. Certifications/training is a plus.
Work Schedule: On-call position. Daytime, evening, weekend, holiday working hours: morning, evening and weekend meetings/events frequently requested.
