Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Helper to join our dynamic team. In this hands-on role, you will support the transportation and logistics operations by assisting with vehicle loading, unloading, and general site duties. Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading various trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers using appropriate manual or mechanical methods.
- Support drivers in preparing trucks for departure by ensuring loads are secure and properly balanced.
- Help with the organization and cleanliness of the work site to maintain safety standards.
- Operate manual transmission vehicles such as dump trucks or flatbeds when required under supervision.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials or equipment as directed by supervisors.
- Load and unload materials efficiently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery schedules are met while maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge or familiarity with heavy equipment is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with experience driving commercial vehicles such as front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, or tractor-trailers.
- Experience in delivery driving or commercial driving roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of manual transmission operation preferred.
- Prior experience assisting with load & unload tasks in a logistics or construction setting is a plus.
