Shifts available:
Full-time and part-time, AFTERNOON shift ( working every other weekend or as needed)
.25 cents to $1.00 raise after 6-month probationary period
JOB SUMMARY: Nurse’s Aide is an essential position, classified and is non-exempt. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for offering quality of life services, as well as assisting with developing and administering activities for our residents. The ideal candidate for this position is compassionate and caring. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES: The responsibilities and duties of the Nurse’s Aide include: attentive to the residents in health and safety needs, lifting residents, understand the residents capabilities and physical needs, interact with the residents, assist residents with performing basic tasks such as eating, dressing and toileting, replacing linens on beds, removing and replacing trash bags, help with daily routines, work assigned hall, answer call numbers, understand the possibility to be mandated or pick up shifts if needed; understand the policies and procedures; attend meetings/training sessions; participate with residents in all special projects as directed and report issues that impact: residents, staff, nursing and supervision; encourage job focus and teamwork among staff; develop and maintain strong appropriate relationships with staff and residents; be a positive influence on staff and residents at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS: No experience required. There will be training upon hire. The candidate must possess the ability to always be on time to work, physical and mental stamina; ability to work long hours on one's feet and lift 25+ pounds while displaying a positive attitude. Must be able to successfully complete a background check and a 6-month probationary period.
