Member Care MAI Benefit Activation Specialist
How the Position Works
This is a business needs-driven, temporary role supporting our Tandem partnership with Humana (MAI). In this role, you will work directly with new Humana members to guide them through a structured conversation and complete the necessary modules to activate their benefits, ensuring a smooth and positive start to their plan experience.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Conduct structured, client-centric conversations with members who are new to their Humana plan.
- Guide members step-by-step through required modules to activate their benefits accurately and completely.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience, ensuring members feel supported and informed throughout the process.
- Maintain compliance with Humana and TRANZACT standards while completing benefit activation calls.
- Accurately document member interactions and completed modules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need to be successful:
- Customer Service Orientation: Genuine dedication to creating positive, member-first conversations; this is a customer service role, not a sales role.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal communication skills with the ability to guide members through structured conversations clearly and patiently.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately complete all required modules and documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
- Adaptability: Comfortable following a structured process while still tailoring the conversation to each member's needs.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other job-related tools and technology.
- Performance Metrics: Performance at or above program average goals.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be licensed; however, this role does not involve performing licensed work.
- Performance at or above program average for the previous 90 days.
- Full availability to work a schedule beginning as early as 8:30 AM EST or ending as late as 9:00 PM EST; ability to work overtime as required.
- During AEP, full availability to work during business hours of operation, including weekends as needed.
- Demonstrates and lives the BE REAL values and attributes.

Job Description
The Sales Agent typically holds Life and/or Health insurance license and works directly with consumers to help them obtain new policies. This position is work from home.
Responsibilities:
Based on business need, we may assign you to a sales agent role for a portion of the year outside of AEP.
Job Type: Full-time
