Overview

Duties
- Perform routine pool maintenance including cleaning filters, balancing chemicals, and inspecting equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Diagnose and repair pool systems such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorination units using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct water quality testing and adjust chemical levels to meet health and safety standards.
- Install new pool components or upgrade existing systems in accordance with project specifications.
- Assist with the installation of pool features like decking, lighting, or fencing, following construction plans and schematics.
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for excavation or structural repairs related to pool installations or restorations.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all tasks to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience working outdoors in construction or maintenance environments, preferably with pools or similar water systems.
- Familiarity with construction management principles, construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy equipment operation relevant to construction projects.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, electrical components related to pool equipment, and building material installation techniques.
- Experience with construction site safety procedures including OSHA standards and hazard mitigation strategies.
- Ability to read schematics for electrical wiring or plumbing layouts; experience with Bluebeam software is a plus.
- Background in remodeling, restoration work, or building construction projects involving masonry, roofing, glazing, or tile laying is advantageous.
