Position Overview
Nurtura Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one, in-home care for a patient. This role is ideal for a nurse who values building meaningful relationships with patients and delivering personalized care in a home setting. The current position is for 8 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in their homes in accordance with physician orders and care plans
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes in condition
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and family members
- Educate patients and caregivers on disease management and care techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of GA or has a compact license
- Minimum [1–2] years of nursing experience (home health or pediatric experience preferred)
- Tracheostomy care, assessment, and routine trach changes
- Mechanical ventilator management and monitoring
- Airway suctioning (tracheal and oral)
- Oxygen therapy management
- Continuous respiratory assessment and pulse oximetry monitoring
- Emergency airway management, including response to accidental decannulation and ventilator alarms
- G-tube/enteral feeding administration and medication administration
