Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Press Brake Operator! In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping metal components with precision and skill. You’ll operate advanced press brake machinery, ensuring that each piece meets our high standards of quality and accuracy. What you’ll do
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the correct dimensions and angles for bending.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy in all operations.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products to maintain high standards of craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and minor repairs as needed.
- Operate additional machinery, including CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, and stamping presses, as required.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Basic qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and basic math skills for precise measurements.
- Familiarity with various machining processes including welding, fabrication, and tooling.
- Experience operating hand tools and precision measuring instruments effectively.
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of CNC programming and operation of CNC lathe machines.
- Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) or plasma cutting techniques.
- Forklift operation certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in quality inspection processes.
