Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, particularly in relation to IDEA timelines and policies. Collaboration, organization, and communication are key, as you partner with families, general education teachers, and support staff to create the best educational outcomes possible.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required
- Strong experience in case management and special education, especially with K-8 students
- Deep knowledge of special education laws, compliance requirements, and documentation processes
- Excellent skills in communication, organization, and collaborative problem-solving
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor all IEPs and 504 plans for students on your caseload
- Ensure compliance with IDEA regulations and all timelines
- Conduct IEP meetings and coordinate ongoing communication among all stakeholders
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation to support each student’s progress and legal compliance
