Lightworks Fiber & Consulting is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Fiber Optic Technicians and Splicers. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, traveling to project locations, and building a career in the growing telecommunications industry.

Fiber Optic Technicians and Splicers support the installation, splicing, testing, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks throughout various project locations. This is a travel-based position, and team members should be comfortable working away from home for extended periods as project needs require.
Travel assignments may include company-paid lodging, per diem eligibility, overtime opportunities, and air travel when necessary. While travel is a primary component of this role, schedules and assignments may vary based on business needs.

Install, splice, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic systems

Read and interpret project plans, maps, schematics, and construction drawings

Assist with the construction, installation, and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure

Operate safely in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions

Travel to project sites throughout the region and country as assigned

Participate in an on-call rotation to support emergency outages and service restoration

Complete required documentation, reports, and project updates accurately and timely

Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a safe and professional manner

Adhere to all company safety policies, customer requirements, and industry standards

Valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record

Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including occasional air travel

Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds

Comfortable working outdoors in physically demanding environments

Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Basic computer, tablet, and smartphone proficiency

Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and emergency response situations

Ability to distinguish colors and read detailed labels and documentation

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
