The Credentialing Specialist is required to be on site at our office near Arapahoe Rd and I-25.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Credentialing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining internal credentialing files for our clinical staff, as well as coordinating and submitting credentialing to external vendors, including insurance, post-acute care facilities and hospitals. This role reports to the Practice Manager and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Summit Medical Consultants.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, analyze, and coordinate all aspects of credentialing for assigned facilities and payer credentialing partners.
- Review and audit credentialing applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Collect, review, and submit credentialing documentation for all clinical staff, ensuring compliance with guidelines and standards.
- Coordinate timely submission of provider credentialing applications to external vendors and facilities.
- Communicate credentialing changes to internal teams, facilities and providers on a regular basis.
- Monitor turnaround times for processing credentialing applications and escalate issues as needed.
- Provide updates to Owners and Leadership on credentialing status at assigned facilities.
- Participate in process improvements for credentialing procedures.
- Manage provider access to facility EHR systems
- Maintain accurate records of credentialing requests and activities.
- Drive to facilities or other practice locations as required.
- Participate in Admin On Call rotation.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Preferred - minimum of 2 years of physician / APP credentialing experience, preferably in post-acute settings, however will train right person with medical office experience.
- Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently in a high pace environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders and leadership.
- Google Suite skills preferred with pre-employment skills assessment

Schedule:
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday with occasional on-call assistance.

Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour, depending on experience
