Fremont, CA | Base Pay + High Commission
Massimo’s, a landmark fine-dining Italian restaurant in Fremont for nearly 50 years, is expanding our most profitable revenue stream: private dining, catering, and creative in-house events.
We’re looking for a dynamic, results-driven sales closer who’s also a community connector and event producer—someone who can fill our private rooms every night with parties, celebrations, and engaging public events.
What You’ll Do
- Build relationships with corporate clients, pharma reps, realtors, and community groups to book private dining and catering
- Plan, promote, and oversee public in-house events, including:
- Karaoke Nights
- Murder Mystery Dinners
- Trivia & Game Nights
- Holiday and Theme Parties
- Networking Mixers & Community Nights
- Create and pitch event ideas that drive traffic on slower nights
- Collaborate with the chef, ownership, and marketing to develop packages, promotions, and seasonal calendars
- Coordinate basic event logistics and floor plans with the service and kitchen teams
- Manage guest communications and follow-ups to maximize rebookings and referrals
Compensation & Perks
- $2,000/month base pay
- 10% commission on new private event/catering sales
- 5% on repeat or upsold business
- Performance bonuses for hitting weekly and monthly goals
- Work with a legendary restaurant that delivers outstanding food, wine, and hospitality
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in event sales, hospitality sales, or B2B lead generation
- Creative and enthusiastic about planning fun, profitable events
- Bold, social, and comfortable with cold calls, networking, and public promotion
- Excellent follow-through, organization, and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with the Fremont, Newark, Union City, or Tri-City area
Bonus Points If You Have:
- A local network or existing book of business
- Experience selling to pharmaceutical reps, medical offices, or large companies
- Background in bar/restaurant programming or event production
- Knowledge of CRMs, email marketing, or promotional tools (preferred but not required)
