Hauck Enterprises is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and respectful Park Foreman to lead our grounds crew at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee daily operations while actively working alongside your team to maintain the beauty, dignity, and functionality of the cemetery grounds.
Position Overview
As Park Foreman, you will lead a small crew in performing high-quality cemetery maintenance, landscape care, burial support, and monument installation. You will serve as the daily on-site leader, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and with the utmost respect for the families and memorials we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Crew Leadership: Assign daily tasks to crew members, monitor progress, provide hands-on guidance, and ensure work meets quality and safety standards. Coordinate crew schedules and adjust priorities based on burial schedules and park needs.
- Lead and participate in the setup and preparation for burials and entombments, including tent placement, equipment staging, and site restoration.
- Install headstones and monuments according to proper procedures and alignment standards.
- Maintain cemetery grounds using zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, and other equipment to ensure pristine grass, edges, and walkways.
- Perform general park maintenance requests, including landscaping, debris removal, and memorial care.
- Safely operate backhoes, tractors, trailers, zero-turn mowers, and related heavy equipment.
- Enforce safety protocols at all times and maintain a clean, professional work environment.
- Work closely with management to fulfill special requests and uphold the respectful atmosphere of the cemetery.
Requirements
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or cemetery operations required.
- Proven proficiency operating backhoes, tractors, zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, and blowers.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to give clear instructions and motivate a team.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially for burial setups and headstone installations.
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective verbal communication skills and a professional, compassionate demeanor.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean criminal background is required.
