POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for completing the department’s daily operational tasks and ensures that all operational items are completed in a timely fashion, accurately following the credit unions procedures and regulations. Prepares periodic reports, reviews and reconciles data. Prepares entries and adjustments to Credit Union records, files, and statements. Embrace and
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of all operations functions.
a. Maintains current knowledge of all new and existing federal regulations pertaining to job functions (ACH, ATM, Debit Card, etc.)
b. Completes daily ACH, Share Draft, ATM and debit card settlements. Processing adjustments and return items for posting to the general ledger.
c. Prepares journal entries and balances work in accounting areas.
d. Takes the lead in preparation of annual ACH audit.
e. Ensures that the annual Abandoned Property is processed according to State Laws.
f. Reviews and processes wire transfer requests according to policy and procedures.
g. Investigate fraudulent debit card, check and ACH activity.
h. File chargebacks for debit card fraud, disputes and other issues.
i. Maintains files, including filing of general ledger journal vouchers, accounts payable documentation, and other miscellaneous filings.
j. Researches and resolves accounting errors and discrepancies.
k. Prepares regular reports and statements for management.
l. Processes EFT/ACH originations, transactions and related duties/functions.
m. Process audio checks, GL postings, and ATM/Debit card disputes.
n. Processes check copies, stop pays, revocations, ATM exceptions and social security reclamations.
o. Ensures the accounting functions are completed in accordance with established Credit Union procedures and applicable regulations.
p. Maintain working knowledge of accounting and core system software programs.
q. Any and all duties as required by management.
2. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with vendors, governmental agencies, and outside business and operations professionals.
a. Responds to questions and problems politely and promptly.
b. Ensures that the Credit Union's professional reputation is maintained at all times.
3. Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective communication and coordination with Credit Union personnel and with management.
a. Assists area personnel as needed.
b. Maintains regular contact with other departments to obtain information and/or to correct transactions.
c. Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns.
4. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
a. Completes special projects as assigned.
b. Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
1. Operations/Accounting documents, financial reports, tax documents, and related reports are accurately and timely completed and/or filed.
2. Operations/Accounting errors are promptly detected and resolved.
3. Operations/Accounting functions are conducted in accordance with established policies and related legal requirements and generally accepted accounting principles.
4. Good communication and coordination exist with Credit Union personnel and with management. Assistance is provided as needed. Management is provided with useful, specialized reports as needed.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
