Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department and supporting managers and employees across the organization. This role helps ensure HR processes are consistent, compliant, timely, and aligned with company policies and business needs.
The HR Manager serves as a key resource for employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, leave coordination, policy implementation, and compliance support. This position requires sound judgment, professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to balance employee support with organizational accountability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage daily HR operations, including employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, leave administration, compliance tracking, and personnel documentation.
- Support managers with performance concerns, corrective action, documentation, coaching, and employee communication.
- Manage recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, candidate communication, offer letters, and onboarding coordination.
- Ensure employee files, HR records, forms, and documentation are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Administer or support employee benefits, PTO, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation coordination, and related employee questions.
- Help interpret and apply company policies consistently across departments.
- Manage investigations, employee complaints, disciplinary matters, and workplace concerns.
- Partner with leadership to identify employee relations trends and recommend practical solutions.
- Manage payroll, timekeeping, and HRIS processes
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Provide HR guidance to Directors and Managers while escalating complex, sensitive, or high-risk matters when appropriate.
- Assist with employee training, handbook updates, policy rollouts, and HR communication.
- Supervise HR staff, if applicable, and support the development of efficient HR workflows.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
- Conduct regular HR Trainings for Directors and Managers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or HR management capacity.
- Working knowledge of employment laws, employee relations practices, HR documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting managers with coaching, corrective action, performance issues, and employee concerns.
- Strong communication, judgment, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, or related HR systems.
- Active SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or similar HR certification required.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
