Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system
- Craft and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and specialty drinks, utilizing mixology skills and beverage recipe knowledge
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar station, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food handling, serving, and catering or banquet setups as needed to support event operations
- Promote sales by recommending menu items and upselling beverages or food options to enhance guest experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience (4+ years) in restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or upscale neighborhood restaurants
- Demonstrated expertise in cocktail mixing, beverage recipe development, wine and spirits knowledge
- Excellent hospitality skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally
- Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Previous experience with bar management or catering is a plus; wine certifications are a plus
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently
