Patient Care
- Greet and escort patients to examination rooms.
- Obtain and document patient medical history, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
- Record vital signs and update patient charts accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, post-procedure care, and follow-up instructions.
- Assist providers during dermatologic exams and procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort and confidentiality at all times.
Dermatology Clinical Support
- Assist with skin cancer screenings and dermatologic evaluations.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields for biopsies, excisions, and minor surgical procedures.
- Assist with biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, electrodessication, and other dermatologic procedures.
- Collect, label, and process pathology specimens according to protocol.
- Document procedures and patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Manage procedure room turnover and infection control standards.
Aesthetic Clinical Support
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for aesthetic procedures.
- Assist with injectable treatments, laser procedures, body contouring, and other cosmetic services as directed.
- Take standardized before-and-after photographs.
- Educate patients regarding skincare products, treatment expectations, and aftercare instructions.
- Assist with inventory management of skincare products and aesthetic supplies.
- Promote patient satisfaction and assist with treatment plan coordination.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care.
- Process patient forms, consents, and documentation.
- Answer patient phone calls and portal messages as directed.
- Verify and update patient information in the EMR.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription requests when needed.
Infection Control & Safety
- Clean and disinfect treatment rooms and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain sterilization logs.
- Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
