Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, supervision, and administration of assigned program sites. This role ensures compliance with all organizational policies, regulatory standards, and funding requirements while maintaining a high-quality program that fosters a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff. The Program Coordinator supports the mission and values of the organization through effective leadership, planning, communication, and collaboration.
This role would be assigned to work in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
*Travel between assigned program sites is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Operations and Oversight
- Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of assigned program sites to ensure consistency and program quality
- Implement curriculum and activities that align with organizational goals and developmental standards.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, safety procedures, and program policies.
- Monitor enrollment, attendance, and staffing levels to maintain program ratios and service quality.
Staff Supervision and Development
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate Site Supervisors, Instructors, and support staff.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and ongoing professional development opportunities for program staff.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work culture that encourages accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Administrative and Compliance Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including attendance, incident reports, and staff documentation.
- Ensure compliance with funding, licensing, and reporting requirements.
- Assist with payroll verification, scheduling, and performance documentation.
- Participate in audits, monitoring visits, and program evaluations as needed
Family and Community Engagement
- Foster positive relationships with parents, school administrators, and community partners.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding program updates, policies, and student progress.
- Represent the organization in meetings, community events, and collaborative initiatives.
Leadership and Strategic Support
- Support the director and leadership team with data collection, reporting, and goal tracking.
- Identify opportunities for program growth, improvement, and innovation.
- Assist in planning and executing trainings, staff meetings, and special projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Social Services, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination, supervision, or education administration (preferred).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of state licensing regulations, child development principles, and program compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management systems.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
Work Conditions:
- Full-time position with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities.
- Travel between assigned program sites as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
