Duties
- Greet clients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in using salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms
- Support stylists with hair styling, hair coloring, hair extensions, and hair threading procedures while maintaining high sanitation standards
- Manage retail sales by upselling products like hair care items, nail care products, makeup, and eyelash extensions to enhance client experiences
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools and workstations in compliance with health regulations
- Assist at the front desk by scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and managing client flow efficiently
- Support store management with inventory organization, retail math calculations, and stock replenishment
- Mentor new team members and collaborate effectively with colleagues to foster a positive work environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working in the beauty industry or a cosmetology background is highly preferred
- Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and client management
- Proficiency in hair styling techniques, including hair coloring, hair extensions, and barbering skills like straight razor use is a plus
- Strong communication skills to engage confidently with clients and team members
- Knowledge of sanitation practices related to nail care, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and other beauty services
- Ability to perform retail sales through upselling techniques and retail math calculations
- A passion for learning new beauty techniques such as hair threading or advanced color theory concepts
