Join our expanding team at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store! We’re seeking a friendly, part-time Customer Service Associate to become part of our supportive and compassionate staff.
In this role, you’ll operate the cash register, answer phone calls, maintain and organize sales floor displays, and assist customers in finding the items they need. Previous retail experience is preferred. We’re looking for a motivated self-starter who treats everyone with kindness and respect.

Duties
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales transactions
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Assist with pricing and inventory management including stock replenishment and inventory counts
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Support store operations through duties such as bagging items and maintaining a clean checkout area
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when handling inquiries or customer calls
Requirements
- Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact patiently and effectively with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Bilingual skills are a bonus to serve a diverse customer base
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented
- Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
