Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Contract)

Location: California 95482
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Pay: $1,816 – $2,041/week

Schedule

Variable Shift
Primarily 5x8s (Evening coverage)
Evening Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM or 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Temporary Night Coverage (approx. 6 weeks): 4x10s, 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Rotating weekends (every other weekend)
No call

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Perform and prioritize clinical lab testing across multiple departments
Ensure accurate specimen processing, testing, and result reporting
Perform blood bank testing (gel and tube methods)
Validate results and ensure QA/QC compliance
Maintain lab equipment, troubleshooting, and inventory
Communicate critical values and support clinical teams
Train and supervise lab assistants and support staff
Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient safety standards

Requirements

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in CLS/Medical Technology or related field – Required
- 3+ years clinical laboratory experience – Preferred
- Strong blood bank experience (gel & tube methods) – Required
Licensure/Certifications:
- Active California CLS (Generalist) License – Required
- ASCP or NCA Certification – Preferred

Schedule includes rotating weekend coverage
