Fokas Eyecare is looking for a part time, opthalamic technician and medical receptionist to join our team. We are a busy optometric practice in Astoria looking for a highly motivated individual. Duties include: answering a high volume of phone calls, scheduling appointments, insurance verification, assisting the doctor with testing, and other tasks as needed. Employees must be on time every day and ready to work. On the job training will be provided. Medical office or optometry experienced preferred. This is not a seasonal position.
Employees will be required to do pre and post testing on patients and be placed as needed in the front or in the testing rooms.
*MUST be available for ALL of the following hours:
Thursday 9am-1pm
Friday 10am-5pm
Saturday 9am-2pm
Bilingual preferred but not required (Greek speaking a plus!)
Job Type: Part-time
