PRIMARY FUNCTION
Are you a caring team player who delivers exceptional clinical services? In this CMA/RMA/LPN role, you provide direct patient care while working as part of a diverse care team. We are looking for a CMA/RMA/LPN who is well organized and comfortable with patient flow in a busy primary care setting. Embrace opportunities to develop your knowledge of medical office procedures, electronic health records, and verbal and written communication skills. We need a multi-tasker who engages with professionalism, delivers exceptional customer service, and ensures compliance. Previous medical office experience is preferred for CMA/RMA/LPN position.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES

Collect and maintain patient data, social history, and vital statistics. Assist providers with examinations.

Conduct in-office services within the scope of practice, including phlebotomy, lab collections and CLIA waived tests, administer injections and medications, dress wounds and incisions, assist with emergency and minor surgery, conduct EKGs, and conduct hearing and vision screenings, etc.

Complete provider orders, assist with patient communication and requests, call in prescriptions, share physicians’ instructions with patients.

Maintain stock of supplies and medication. Conduct instrument sterilization and care. Maintain exam rooms and treatment/lab areas.

Assist with other duties or in other departments as instructed.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Reports to the Medical Team Leader and ultimately the Clinical Manager.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Medical office environment with frequent contact with staff and the public. Frequently exposed to blood, toxic or caustic chemicals. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Position may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Work may be stressful at times.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Regular travel is not a requirement for this position. Employee may be asked to provide coverage at another clinic, on occasion.
WORK HOURS
37.5 hours per week, subject to wage and hour laws. Occasional overtime may be required.
SALARY
Starting at $15.04 per hour, based on experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting or Nursing program.
Minimum Experience: No experience required, however preference will be given to candidates with previous medical office experience.
Required License: Current Nursing License issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing -OR- Certification/Registration for Medical Assisting recognized by a certifying board like the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologist (AMT); American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.
Qualifications
Successful applicants will be mature and well organized with pleasant personality and speaking voice. Candidates must be receptive to pediatric patients and families seeking care. Knowledge of medical office procedures, basic computer skills, and patient flow in a primary care setting is preferred. Position requires skills in verbal and written communication, multi-tasking as well as proficiency in time management and organizational skills. Employee is responsible for maintaining requirements of certification and providing evidence of this to the organization as requested.
