Role Description:
The Box Office Coordinator is a part-time, on-site role based at the Historic Masonic Theatre in Clifton Forge, VA. This role is responsible for managing ticket sales and reservations, processing payments, and ensuring accurate record-keeping for all events. Day-to-day tasks include greeting guests, answering phone and in-person inquiries, providing event information, and assisting patrons with seating and accessibility needs. The Box Office Coordinator will operate office and ticketing equipment, prepare reports, and coordinate with theatre staff on event schedules and audience flow. This position also supports general administrative tasks and helps maintain a welcoming, organized box office environment.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess strong Administrative Assistance skills, including scheduling, data entry, and basic record-keeping.
- Candidates should possess professional Phone Etiquette and Customer Service skills to handle inquiries and support patrons effectively.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Office Equipment and basic technology, such as computers, point-of-sale systems, and printers.
- Candidates should possess clear and courteous Communication skills, both verbal and written, when interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Relevant experience in box office, front-of-house, retail, or hospitality is beneficial.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, maintain reliability, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; comfort handling cash and electronic payments is a must.
- Familiarity with marketing, social media platforms, mass mailings
- Experience with MS Office software
Work Details:
- On-site 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday
- Additional work may be required during large events
- Starting at $15.00 per hour depending on experience and paid weekly via direct deposit
