Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist patients with daily living activities, provide basic medical care, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients. This role is essential in supporting the nursing staff and delivering high-quality patient care.
Duties
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide support in mobility and transportation of patients within the facility.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and update patient records as necessary.
- Assist in basic life support measures when required.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, particularly those in geriatrics or pediatric care settings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical office areas.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with medical documentation systems such as Cerner is advantageous.
- Knowledge of anatomy and basic life support techniques is essential.
- Experience working with children or elderly patients is a plus.
- Understanding of medical records management and HIPAA compliance is highly valued.
