Special Procedures Tech
Joining our team will provide you with the opportunity to assist physicians with minimally invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures using advanced imaging technology. You will prepare patients for procedures, operate imaging equipment, maintain a sterile environment, monitor patient status, and assist during examinations and treatments. Working closely with radiologists, cardiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare providers will allow you to contribute to achieving the best patient outcome.

What You Will Do

Demonstrates competency in patient positioning and technical imaging skills by producing a variety of radiographic procedures while maintaining the highest standards of age-specific patient care from neonates through geriatrics.

Uses administrative skills to contribute to the successful operation of the department by scanning all items in the inventory system and, entering and completing correct billing codes in the RIS and on the patient billing sheets.

Displays a commitment to Hospital mission and values by consistently:
- Adhering to hospital safety standards
- Following hospital and department SOPs, policies, and protocols
- Following guidelines for patient identification and safety
- Adhering to ALARA, Image Gently, and Image Wisely radiation and fluoroscopic safety standards
- Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws (HIPAA) and facility policies.
