You'll assist with medication administration, promote independence, and help residents achieve their personal goals while providing compassionate, person-centered care.
Working in our group home and community-based settings, you'll collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure each individual receives the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to patients as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Assist with transportation to appointments and community activities
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and update medical records promptly.
- Provide individualized services as directed according to person centered plans and needs of the resident.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to monitor patient responses to medications and report any adverse reactions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant medical terminology and regulations in medication administration.
- Provide compassionate care to residents or fostering a supportive environment.
- Light housekeeping/general cleaning
Skills
- Proficient in medication administration techniques and practices.
- Familiarity with medical records management and documentation standards.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to the healthcare field.
- Experience working in a group home setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team focused on patient care.
