Overview
We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet precise specifications. The Machine Operator will work closely with engineers and production staff to deliver exceptional results while adhering to safety standards and quality control measures.
Duties
- Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce parts accurately.
- Operate CNC machines and other machining equipment to fabricate components.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, including bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines, to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
- Perform CAM programming for CNC operations to optimize production efficiency.
- Assemble machined parts as required, ensuring proper fit and function.
- Apply GD&T principles to maintain quality standards throughout the machining process.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any operational issues that arise.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
- Engage in welding tasks as needed for assembly or repairs.
- Participate in plastics injection molding processes when applicable.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Machinist/Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery and CAM programming is essential.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles is highly desirable.
- Previous experience with coordinate measuring machines is a plus.
- Skills in welding and assembly techniques are advantageous.
