Overview
We are looking for a reliable Event Sanitation & Cleaning Specialist to help keep our event site clean, organized, and safe.
In this role, you will keep spaces clean, throw away heavy trash, refill sanitation and hygiene supplies, and make sure everything stays clean and welcoming for attendees.
We are seeking someone with a positive attitude, great attention to detail, and a desire to work as part of a team.
Hard workers who show up on time, stay safe, and do a great job may get first pick for future events and more working hours.
Responsibilities
- Keep the Site Clean: Make sure the event stays clean, organized, and safe every day by following basic cleaning rules.
- Grounds Maintenance: Walk around the site regularly to spot mess, litter, or areas that need extra attention, and clean them quickly.
- Waste & Trash Removal: Empty trash cans, tie up heavy trash bags, and safely carry heavy trash to designated disposal areas.
- Restock Supplies: Keep track of cleaning products and tools, replace full trash bags, restock toilet paper in portable restrooms, refill soap and paper towels at wash stations, and store equipment safely.
- Follow Safety Rules: Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times—including gloves, safety goggles, face masks, and high-visibility vests—and handle cleaning products safely.
- Work with Managers and Team: Partner with event leaders and crew members to keep the site clean while helping protect the environment.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Stamina & Walking: Able to stand, walk long distances across outdoor event grounds, bend, and lift for 8–12+ hours per shift.
- Heavy Lifting: Comfortable carrying heavy trash bags, lifting supplies, and moving cleaning gear (up to 50 lbs).
- Weather Conditions: Prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions (hot sun, rain, cold, or wind) while staying safe and productive.
- Safety Apparel: Willing to wear required PPE (gloves, steel-toe boots, or high-vis safety vests as assigned).
Qualifications & Skills
- Cleaning Experience: Background in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or keeping large spaces clean and sanitary is a plus.
- Safety First: Knows how to safely use cleaning products, handle tools, and follow basic workplace safety rules.
- Good Communication: Clear, friendly, and direct when speaking or writing to managers and team members.
- Organized & Efficient: Able to follow fast, effective cleaning routines to keep the site spotless.
- Supply & Equipment Care: Knows how to track cleaning supplies, restock items, and take care of tools.
- Team Player / Leader: Comfortable helping, guiding, and working alongside others to get the job done right.
Pay: $21.30 - $22.00 per hour
