About Us:
Our specialty sleep clinic is hiring a patient-focused Clinical Support Specialist to assist with front-office operations and day-to-day administrative support. This position plays a key role in patient communication, appointment coordination, payment collection, and accurate clinical documentation. The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and comfortable working within electronic health record systems in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary contact for new and existing patients, providing clear, professional communication by phone and electronic channels
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments using our electronic medical record platform
- Support patient onboarding by assisting with intake forms, data entry, and documentation accuracy
- Collect co-pays and outstanding balances and respond to basic payment-related questions
- Maintain and update patient records, care plans, and documents within EHR systems
- Partner with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and daily clinic operations
- Manage administrative tasks including scanning, faxing, filing, and follow-up communications
- Respond to scheduling requests, appointment changes, and general office inquiries
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a healthcare, medical, or dental office setting supporting patient-facing operations
- Comfort working with EMR/EHR systems and managing sensitive patient information
- Strong customer service skills with professional phone presence and clear communication
- Working knowledge of basic medical terminology and administrative workflows
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail in a clinical setting
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus
