Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help us streamline our financial processes, support budgeting efforts, and produce reliable financial reports. The bookkeeper oversees the company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. Performs daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and recording payments and adjustments. The bookkeeper may also assist with setting up accounts for new vendors and any additional duties assigned to ensure financial fitness for the organization.
Responsibilities:
· Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
· Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
· Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
· Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
· Reconciling bank and credit card transactions within Quickbooks.
· Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
· Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
· Maintains historical records by filing documents.
· Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
· Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Processing invoice payments
· Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field, bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Knowledge of QuickBooks & Excel required.
· Previous bookkeeping experience preferred.

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
