Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented hygiene assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our hygienist by managing various administrative and clinical tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the documentation of dental records
- Support dental procedures through four-handed dentistry techniques
- Take dental imaging, including bitewings, periapicals, panoramics, and CBCTs for diagnostic purposes
- Document patient information accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are ready for use
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans and appointments
Skills
- Strong understanding dental terminology
- Experience with four-handed dentistry practices is preferred
- Familiarity with dental imaging techniques and equipment
- Experience in general dentistry is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction
