REPORTS TO: Director of Customer Service
CANDIDATES: We take pride in our excellent customer service, and thus, our customer service representatives serve a vital role within the company, as they are often the first and main line of contact to our customers. The customer service representative is responsible for executing customer order activities essential to sales and operations of the business. This individual will complete an initial training program, and benefit from ongoing team training during weekly meetings. A successful CSR is goal oriented, self-motivated and able to meet deadlines, builds relationships and enjoys a team atmosphere. S/he operates with a service-oriented mindset and a high willingness to assist others, ensuring exceptional customer service and representing the company in a professional manner at all times.
Other qualities s/he possesses include:
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Solid computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft applications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities, multi-task and manage time effectively while dealing with a variety of requests
- Ability to learn quickly, and adapt to change
Customer Service Responsibilities Include:
- Manage incoming calls
- Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
- Build trust and relationships with customers through open and interactive communication
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions/alternatives; follow up to ensure resolution
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Work proactively rather than reactively
- Process customer orders/inquiries per company procedures
- Answer customer phone calls and email inquiries
- Enter phone, fax and email orders
- Issue authorizations for returns, as needed
- Assist customers with the website: new account set up, web activation and password reset
- Act as a resource of product knowledge for our customers
- Explain product functions and educate customers, as needed
- Email information or links to customers / refer to website for product info
- Advise customers of recommended products based on individual needs
- Cross train as a backup on all Key Account processes with eventual ownership of specific Key Account(s)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
