Atlas Staffing is hiring a Machine Operator for a well established manufacturing company in Spokane Valley, WA. Role Purpose
Set up and adjust production equipment to create accurate, high quality components. This role supports a collaborative Large Seals department where team members work closely with leads, mentors, and other operators to solve production challenges.
Responsibilities
- Set up machines for different production runs
- Assist other operators with machine setup
- Identify the correct tool sets for each job
- Install and adjust tools and guides to achieve the required output
- Use calipers and measuring tools to verify accuracy
- Complete calculations to the thousandth decimal place
- Monitor production results and recommend tool adjustments
- Help identify solutions when production issues arise
- Follow through to confirm problems are resolved
- Train and coach new employees on responsibilities, safety, and work practices
- Communicate with leads, mentors, and team members throughout the shift
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic to moderate math skills
- Ability to use calipers and precision measuring tools
- Ability to calculate and verify measurements to the thousandth decimal place
- Sound judgment and problem solving skills
- Collaborative and communicative personality
- Ability to work approximately 50 percent sitting and 50 percent standing
- Previous Machine Operator I experience, approximately nine months, is preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass required preemployment drug and background screenings
- Must meet applicable United States Export Control Regulations requirements
Pay
- $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience
Available Shifts
- Monday through Thursday
- 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Four 10 hour shifts
- ASAP start for the right person
