Performs customer service functions; provides information and assistance related to airport facilities, procedures, flight times, departure gates, directions, local information, or other issues; researches problems and initiates problem resolution.
Assists passengers with baggage; positions baggage carts for use; advises passengers where to check and retrieve baggage; transports baggage.
Coordinates ground transportation operations.
Monitors airport activities, such as the number of inbound and outbound passengers, unclaimed baggage, flight delays, airport parking usage, ground transportation, or other activities; reports security and safety concerns to appropriate staff; maintains related logs and documentation.
Maintains knowledge of the airport rules and safety regulations; assists in ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, policies, procedures, safety practices, and other guidelines.
Prepares or completes various forms, reports, surveys, or other documents.
Receives various forms, reports, surveys, policies, procedures, rules and regulations, or other documentation; reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate.
Communicate with supervisor, employees, the public, car rental agency staff, airline staff, Transportation Security Administration staff, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, resolve problems, or give/receive advice/direction.
Monitor premises ensure facilities are sanitary, clean and organized. Support and backfill the custodial position as needed (See attached custodial description.)
Provides assistance to other employees or departments as needed. Perf01ms other related duties as required.
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by six (6) months of previous experience and/or training involving customer service; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.
