- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining proper storage practices
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting ingredient substitutions or modifications based on availability and dietary needs
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth kitchen workflow.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within restaurants or the food industry
- Strong knife skills with the ability to efficiently chop, slice, dice, and prepare ingredients
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Experience working in dietary departments or providing dietary aide services is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations
- Fine dining experience is highly desirable for upscale culinary environments
- Excellent food service skills with a focus on quality presentation and customer satisfaction
