Field technicians work with project managers to assemble, configure, install, and commission geotechnical or structural monitoring systems. Field Techs need strong communication and organizational skills to handle day to day schedules, inventory documentation, and regular interactions with customers.
Experience & Skills: Positions are available for both entry level and experienced technicians with education levels from technical high school through all levels of college. Technicians must be technology minded and have basic knowledge in one or two of the following with an interest and desire to add more skills.
- Fabrication, industrial maintenance
- Commercial construction
- Wireless devices, survey equipment, telemetry, field instrumentation
- Experience working with scripting languages such as Javascript and Python
- Low-voltage electrical for instruments and loggers
- Mechanical / electro-mechanical systems experience
Attitude: Technicians must be self-starters, good at working with others, work well in the field, and able create order out of chaos.
Travel: This position requires travel with occasional night and weekend work. Must be able to drive and have a valid driver’s license.
