Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Floral Designer to join our dynamic team dedicated to crafting beautiful floral arrangements for a variety of occasions. Duties
- Create custom floral arrangements for events, holidays, and everyday occasions, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and plants, providing expert advice on floral care and design options
- Maintain the freshness and appearance of all floral products through proper handling, watering, and rotation
- Manage inventory levels by stocking flowers, plants, containers, and related supplies efficiently
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, handle cash and credit card payments accurately
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays that attract customer interest and promote seasonal themes
- Keep the floral department clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Identify various plant species through plant identification skills to advise customers effectively
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service
- Engage in outdoor work as needed for plant maintenance or delivery preparations
Skills
- Proven experience in floral design with strong knowledge of floral arrangements and design principles
- Basic understanding of horticulture, gardening, lawn care, landscape maintenance, and plant identification
- Familiarity with retail sales processes including POS systems, cashiering, retail math, and merchandising
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer interactions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage stock levels and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor and professional attitude
- Experience with outdoor work environments related to gardening or landscape projects
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms for online product listings or sales is advantageous
- Ability to handle cash accurately while maintaining attention to detail in cash handling procedures
- Effective phone communication skills for engaging with customers or vendors
