Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting construction materials efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
This role requires a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism while on the road.
Duties
- Operate various types of trucks, belly dump, end dump trailers, tandem trucks, to deliver materials to designated locations.
- paving and milling
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules and minimize delays.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Minimal paper work
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations governing commercial driving.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CDL driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with various types of trucks and trailers, including experience with belly dumps, end dumps, tandems.
- Strong understanding of route driving and materials handling procedures.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents in recent years.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player when necessary.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
